This year we'll be running a new 2 day Test & Tune to start out the season. As well, the Cone Killer Classic weekend event is back!

CPR-SCCA DYNO DAY

GodSpeed Dyno is going to have an open house and a dyno day for all autocross racers on April 21. The main goal of the day is to have some fun and also to expose people to the benefits of a chassis dyno. They are able to accomodate 10 cars in one day and are only charging $45 a car. This is $20 less than their usual low price of $65. This is for 3-5 pulls and you will receive color graphs with HP and Torque. This will be a great warmup for the April 28-29 test and tune.

If you're interested, please get in touch with Bart Grande (email or 814-280-2150) and let him know what time you would like to schedule your dyno appointment. The goal is to do one an hour with the first test at 8:00am and the last at 5:00pm. This allows him to keep a slow fun pace to the day.

Even if you don't plan on putting your car on the dyno come by to have some fun and hang out...AND this is a great way to support a CPR sponsor. Bart would like to make this an annual event so come out and show your support!

TEST & TUNE

This year's Test and Tune will be held over two days, April 19th and 20th. Saturday will be open to members of the Central PA Region only, whereas Sunday is open to all competitors as usual. Entry fees are the same as regular autocrosses ($30 for each day with a $5 discount for SCCA members). Saturday will be a traditional test & tune where particpants sign up to work for a one hour shift and divide their runs up throughout the rest of the day. We'll be giving out tickets for 6 runs to ensure everyone gets their driving time. Sunday will be staged as practice autocross (i.e. running in heats, 5 runs per driver). Neither day will count towards Summer or year-end points.

CONE KILLER CLASSIC

The Cone Killer Classic is the Central PA region's premiere Solo event, spanning 2 and a half days. The weekend begins with Friday "fun runs", followed by two full days of competition on July 19th and 20th. Each day is scored separately as an individual Summer Series event, with results counting towards the Summer Series Points. In addition, both days are combined for special Cone Killer Classic results, complete with separate trophies. As well as the Solo events, dinner is provided with the entry price on Saturday night, and camping is available at the event site. Pre-registration is required for the Cone Killer Classic (as opposed to our other autocrosses) and registration for each day is separate, so please keep that in mind if you plan to compete! To register, click the "pre-register" links next to CKC Days 1 and 2 in the schedule above.

More information can be found on the Cone Killer Classic page.

POLICE CHALLENGE

The Police Challenge returns to our schedule for the 3rd time! We invite members of area law enforcement to compete at autocross. Officers choose a partner from a group of our regular autocrossers, and then the times of both competitors are combined. The fastest team (by PAX) is the winner!

If you're a member of law enforcement, or you know one who might be interested, please get in contact with Dave Mohar for details.

DRIVER'S CHALLENGE

The Driver's Challenge pits our region's class winning drivers against each other to determine the fastest driver without car concerns entering the equation. This is possible because a car is provided that ALL competitors drive. All drivers who won their class during the Summer Series are invited to run the Driver's Challenge.
